Filling the Maria with sequins, celebratory togetherness, and a healthy dose of shade, Sundown Kiki will bring the world of theatre and ballroom together in an explosive evening of music, dance, walking, and partying. Created with and performed by Queer young artists from the Global Majority. Relaxed Performances All performances of Sundown Kiki will be relaxed, meaning you and your fellow audience members should feel comfortable making noise and moving around the space. Sundown Kiki will contain loud noise and music, as well as vibrant visual elements. Due to the sensory nature of the performance, you are welcome to leave the theatre and return after a short break if this helps you to enjoy the performance. Show Warning Please note that the show will contain loud music, sexually suggestive movement and language that may include references to homophobia, racism, transphobia, as well as discussions of gender and identity, sometimes in the context of race, class, social inequity and privilege. Please note that the performance does not include gratuitous strong language, and that any strong language in the performance has been used because it is a term that may be taken as a slur in every day conversation, but is common and non-offensive parlance within the ballroom scene.
