Ida Barr is a former star of the British Music Hall. She has refused to slough off this mortal coil for years now, and has embraced her own brand of urban RnB which she calls Artificial Hip Hop, mashing up the old numbers with fresh beats and bars.
Ida is “the people’s pensioner” and a firm favourite with Wilton's audience. She is delighted to be back in the hall after these extraordinary COVID years. Ida has come close to the end several times in her sheltered accommodation, but has survived to tell the tale in new banging numbers and celebrating with her audiences the sheer joie de vivre of being alive with old favourites.
If you’re a fan of popular music from Jessie Matthews to Stormzy, or from Marie Lloyd to Meghan Thee Stallion, or just want to celebrate surviving, then come and party with Ida Barr.
