Fresh from a critically acclaimed run of his last show Richard brings a new daring piece of storytelling to the Vaults. Richard Stott is an exciting new voice in stand-up. His work uses his disability as a jumping off point to in pieces that discuss wider social commentary. Coming to comedy late on his first show was written and performed in 2017 and won critical acclaim ("Unquestionably funny, I defy anybody not to be enthralled" - The Evening Standard). Since then his work continued with his debut hour show Right Hand Man which also won critical acclaim but excitingly was named by Dave TV as having the 2nd funniest joke of the Ed Fringe 2019. Richard comes from a background of theatre and he moulds this seamlessly into his work with narrative, physical performance and terrific stage command. It gives his comedy shows an extra edge. His work aims to shine light on subjects we are told not to laugh at and make us question that notion. 15+ Tags: Access & Disability,Stand-Up,Work In Progress *Strong language, themes of mental health and suicide.
