Three eras, two women, one struggle: a story about love and belonging. Jobless and pissed off with the patriarchy, Yu follows her great-grandmother’s footsteps to San Francisco. Susan Hingley: Susan is a British-Japanese actress and playwright, who has a passion for collaborative theatre-making. She has a wealth of experience on stage and screen, having worked for companies such as the RSC, Shakespeare’s Globe and Tangled Feet. As a writer, previous work includes literal translations of Bertolt Brecht’s “The Threepenny Opera” (National Theatre), “The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui” (Donmar Warehouse) and “Mr. Puntila and his Man Matti” (Royal Lyceum). Ragga Dahl Johansen: Ragga is a director of Norwegian origin. Ragga worked on a number of devised and new writing shows as well as productions for Shakespeare’s Globe and the RSC. Past credits include: “Splash!”, “Catch/Ulov” (Pin the Tale Theatre); “Recycling the Reportage” (Southwark Playhouse, RADA); “Nansens Sønn” (Rådstua Teaterhus, Norway); “Notes on Falling Leaves” and “Hippo Love” (Battersea Arts Centre). 12+ Tags: Asian Voices,Drama,Storytelling
