Collision point: a 21st century musical radically reimagining East/Southeast Asian seas and sounds. Zhui Ning Chang is a Malaysian theatre director, producer, and lyricist based in London. Her practice is rooted in intercultural performance and her work focuses on shifting communities, speculative futures, and speaking across boundaries. She co-founded the theatre collective Lazy Native, championing Southeast Asian work on international stages. Her directing credits include: Tango (TYPHOON, Yellow Earth Theatre), Bin Juice (Flux Theatre), Inside Voices (VAULT 2019, Origins Award for Outstanding New Work). Zhui Ning is an Associate Artist at Flux Theatre and serves as Connections Producer at Global Voices Theatre, connecting international writing with local performers. Nemo Martin is a British East Asian writer and theatre-maker. They have written viral online games, their podcasts have been performed for live audiences and they are a freelance Stage Manager. Their writing has been shortlisted for BBC Writer’s Room, American Shakespeare Centre’s New Contemporaries and for the Pleasance’s Charlie Hartill Prize.
