“Probably the most important piece of political theatre of the last decade.” The New York Times Spellbinding, funny, and almost unbearably moving . . . it is both a work of art and an incisive piece of cultural history, a poem and a polemic, a performance and a balm and a benediction.” Variety In 1998, Ensler and others, launched V-Day, a global non-profit movement that has raised over $100 million for groups working to end violence against women and girls. TVM has been performed all over the world in many languages over the last 21 years and 2018 was the 20th anniversary. In January 2018, after hearing about the anniversary, friends and colleagues Sarah Michael and Alison David felt inspired to put on a performance of TVM and raise money for Solace. With loads of support and a fabulous cast, we had 2 sellout shows at Theatro Technis and repeated it in 2019 with a nearly new cast, raising over £2500 again for Solace. With a mixture of old and new cast members, we are all set to do it again in 2020! The passion of the writing, the performances and women’s voices provide a memorable evening of laughter, tears, strength and solidarity. After the performance there will be time to have a drink and talk to members of the cast and audience.
