The Quarter-Life Crisis: when we have to leave home, when everything we’ve ever known is forced to change, and when it seems we have no control over what we’re going to do with our lives. And the most fundamental of all: how the hell do you use a washing machine? Siblings Cass and James return to their family home one last time before their parents’ divorce. They are forced to confront their pasts and the changes they’ve gone through, the instability of their new family dynamic, inherent symptoms of imposter syndrome in the face of ‘adulthood’, and the uncertainty of their futures. SLAM Theatre, established in 2017, are dedicated to creating collaborative theatre, using innovative movement and design. Our diverse body of work has ranged from new writing to Brechtian classics, from small studio theatres to the 600-seat auditorium of the Oxford Playhouse. Having always maintained the same core team, we pride ourselves on community, cooperation and accessibility.
