largely improvised, fast-paced, silly, brutally honest, uplifting, and completely autobiographical

Overview

‘Warrior’, fresh from it's run at Brighton Fringe 2018 (which raised £150 for Time to Change), is a work of storytelling and comedy by emerging actor and comedian Annie Harris. 'Warrior' is Annie's debut solo show, and seeks to raise awareness of life with chronic and mental illness. The show has inspired countless numbers of people across the country to speak up about their mental and physical health struggles, and encouraged even more people to be a non-judgemental listening ear for those who may need one.

Annie was diagnosed with chronic pain and fatigue condition Fibromyalgia (click link for more information) in 2017 and has lived with chronic depression and anxiety since her mid-teens. She trained in Musical Theatre at the London College of Music, but while auditioning for the perfect West End role, she fell in love with improvisation and comedy. She now teaches performance across the country, as well as still working on stage and screen. Recent credits include Southern Fail the Musical, Extreme Championship Improv, Bite-Size Plays, Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens, and the recent Disney’s Cinderella film directed by Kenneth Branagh.
