“Molly Naylor writes and directs a monologue about a female scientist giving a lecture to inspire young women in science. But the achievements also come with regrets…”

Overview

A sad, funny story about space science, legacy and loss.

Renowned space scientist Maggie Hill is giving a lecture about her career, to inspire young women to work in science. She's also attending her first therapy session, in order to overcome some debilitating anxiety. Both events force Maggie to discuss her greatest achievements and biggest regrets.

LIGHTS! PLANETS! PEOPLE! is an intimate and exhilarating story about communication, both interpersonal and intergalactic.

Written and directed by Molly Naylor (BBC Radio 4, Sky One). Performed by Karen Hill. Commissioned by Warwick Arts Centre, Southampton Nuffield Theatres and Norwich Arts Centre.
