Dr Stefania Licari (Ecole Philippe Gaulier, East 15, Medical School University of Milan) brings to the stage her comedy alter-ego Dr Anna LaRosa (from the multi-award-winning online series 'My Doctor's Advice') for a, by turns, hysterical and moving exploration of the medical world, immigration and what it means to become British. Physical gags, silly jokes and true stories from the medical frontline combine with Stefania's own experience of being an Italian doctor in the UK. You may laugh or you may cry, or ideally both, but one thing is guaranteed: you will never look at doctors in the same way again! Stefania says, 'I believe medical comedy can be a valuable tool to allow the public to develop new perspectives towards the medical world, by helping them to laugh at a part of life that is so often associated with fear and sadness'. Sudden switching between tears of laughter and tears of sadness may cause serious health issues, so ask your doctor before attending this show... Oh wait: we have one in the house!
