The hugely successful Italian Theatre Festival returns for the third year with three days of thought provoking and entertaining theatre from some of Italy’s most admired writers and performers.
Overview
Giovanni Grasso tells the story of the founding of the Italian People’s Party in a tale set in Brooklyn; Guidarello Pontani, Alessandra Vanzi and Marco Solari dramatize the life and texts of critic, satirical poet, writer and translator Giuseppe Marco Antonio Baretti; Elio Germano and Chiara Lagani evoke the spectre of a return to extremism in La Mia Battglia; Sandro Veronesi and Valeria Solarino present a dramatic reading of Veronesi’s latest novel, Il Colibri; and fedeli d’Amore by Marco Martinelli, a story told in seven parts that is informed by Dante right through to present day.
