Winner of the Outstanding Theatre Award at Brighton Fringe 2021, Clean! is a rousing musical about the women of laundry hill, Brighton through different eras since the 1870s. Unapologetically feminist, it is a rousing celebration of women's resilience and sisterhood through difficult times, highlighting how much has and hasn’t changed. Exploring themes of hardship, suffrage and sexuality, there are eery parallels with today, not least in the smallpox outbreak of 1950 with its 'track and trace', quarantines and vaccine queues.
