Overview
Due to popular demand The Big House are bringing Redemption back for a limited run at their Islington venue. The production, supported by 42 Management, will see Offie nominated Renaya Dennis, reprise the role of Maz.
In a time of accusation and outrage, what does forgiveness look like? The path to Redemption is hard to see, and even harder to walk.
We follow explosive Maz and her truth-telling bars as she rails at the world and runs from a life in care. Then she meets Tayo, a gentle soul with silky smooth vocal folds, seeking a place to belong. He’s soul, she’s grime, and the fusion is sublime.
Together they take the first steps of their musical career, but can they hold onto each other when promised the bright lights of success?
Redemption is a powerful new play-with-music exploring family and forgiveness.
Age Recommendation: 14+
Please note this production features strong language and themes that some audience members may find distressing.
Access: This performance will be promenade and contain stairs. We therefore regret to inform audiences that our venue is not wheelchair accessible. If you might need additional support to watch this production, please get in touch: [email protected]
