Sortir de sa Mère is the story of a very special family. The ghost of a father, more vivid and conscious now that he is dead; an amnesic mother, who dances on graves; an overbearing daughter tormented by an incomprehensible obsession, and a son making a life-changing discovery. Pierre Notte’s writing is a delight: dialogues full of rhythm and sonorities. Like all his other plays, through the prism of absurd comedy, the writing explores topics such as death, lies, and regrets.
