Skid and Bean sit in the park, smoking fags and playing Buzzfeed quizzes. Nyla, Muslim and Mancunian, is moving in, and couldn’t feel more out of place. Set in an Oxfordshire village, Runway explores the liminal space between teenager and adult as the girls wrestle with friendship, loyalty and growing up. It is a bittersweet look into our need to move on, and out, of where we call home. Following on from its sell-out premiere at the Oxford Playhouse in June, No Door Theatre bring this new play by Georgia Affonso to Southwark Playhouse. Runway was long-listed for Theatre503 Playwriting Award 2018, and the Alfred Bradley Award (BBC).
