Strike a pose with the Deaf and disabled performers of The Unlimited House of Krip at free vogue ball shows, workshops and screenings.
The House of Krip is looking for new members to bring Deaf and disabled perspectives to the extravagant world of vogue ball culture.
The team walked in the 2017 House of Suarez Vogue Ball. During preparations for the ball, First Take Film and Media made a documentary about the House and its performers, who incorporate sign language into their routines.
Ball culture has grown from its black and Latino LGBTQ+ roots in 1970s New York to become an international phenomenon. Teams, known as houses, compete against one another in dance-offs.
The evening features a screening of First Take’s documentary, open workshops and live performances.
Try out some moves with dance professionals and find out more about taking part.
House of Krip was founded by Mark Smith, Garry Robson and Darren Suarez.
