I regretted not catching Harry Clayton-Wright’s solo show in Edinburgh last year and now another chance presents itself with a 10-day run at Shoreditch Town Hall. It is a full-frontal confessional style piece in which Clayton-Wright is in dialogue with his mum (a former Christian missionary who is not present on stage) to whom he came out as gay aged 14. Charting Clayton-Wright’s life and sexual encounters, it is a show that has been described as both filthy and tender. It’s certainly one that is trying to take the shame out of sex as it ponders why our sex education is often so woefully inadequate.

About Sex Education

Following the cancellation of Sex Education back in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we're so excited to see Harry Clayton-Wright back at Shoreditch Town Hall! These will be the final UK performances of the show. Sex Education by Harry Clayton-Wright explores how we learn about sex and how it shapes our lives, blending a no holds barred interview with his mum, startling performance, moving storytelling and some good old-fashioned gay porn that Harry’s dad bought for him when he was 14. Delivered with the candour, positivity and charm that have made him an acclaimed international touring success, join Harry as he delves into his sexual past, live on stage: The good, the bad and everything in between. This is a show for anyone who’s wondered why they want what they want. Age Recommendation: Strictly 18+ Please note: This show contains themes that some may find distressing including a description of sexual violence, nudity and explicit sexual content.
