About After the Peace

Sophie has got a summer job in a rebuilt leisure centre and is falling in love with Caz. But the past is not forgotten, and some dark secrets are surfacing. Clare Bayley won a Fringe First and the Amnesty International Award for her play The Container. Her plays have been produced at the National Theatre (The Enchantment), The Young Vic (The Container, Blavatsky, The Shift), Hampstead Theatre Downstairs and the Sherman Theatre, Cardiff (Blue Sky), Assembly Roxy Upstairs in Edinburgh (Pixel Dust) and internationally. Family Trees will have a rehearsed reading directed by Lotte Wakeham at Bolton Octagon in November 2019. Radio plays include The Secret Place, The Bringer of Sweets and Portobello Beach for BBC Radio 4. After The Peace was developed with Criterion New Writing and featured in the Criterion Showcase in November 2018 directed by Michael Davies.
