Book of Mormon

Book of Mormon

Prince of Wales Theatre · 19 OCT - 17 AUG

From The Creators Of South Park

“Hilarious and irreverent. Written by the creators of South Park, this Broadway transfer lit up the West End when it arrived in 2013 and is still selling out. Crammed with political incorrectness & blasphemy—it is not for the faint hearted.”

Overview

The Book of Mormon tells the story of two earnest young Mormon missionaries, Elder Kevin Price and Elder Arnold Cunningham.

Dispatched to a small town in Uganda to spread the word of the Latter Day Saints, they’re walloped by culture shock and end up in a showdown with a tyrannical warlord.

The duo are forced to confront their own beliefs before they can win the day, not to mention facing off with famine, poverty and AIDS. It may not sound like the stuff of uproarious comedy, but in the hands of spectacularly snarky South Parkers Parker and Stone, that’s exactly what it is.

Critic reviews

The most talked about show in London. Mormon puts itself triumphantly in the middle of the cultural conversation.

The Stage

The asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs was scarcely more of a hit.

Time Out

It’s hilarious. God have mercy upon my soul.
