Jess is a student of one of the most prestigious universities in the world. She is leading a campaign to get a statue of Cecil Rhodes removed from campus. She is also mixed race. So, realistically, does she even have a right to protest?

Essentially Black is the funny and unflinching debut play by Naomi Denny.
