About A Very Short Interval

Romeo and Juliet couldn’t hack it. Death forced Cathy and Heathcliff’s love into the ether. And God only knows what happened to Martha and George when he killed the kid. And they think they had it rough. Enter Man and Woman and the problem of the modern age: They can’t separate. The year is unknown. The last seen status is off. Two years out of their relationship, still toxically bound together. Unable to free themselves, Woman enlists the help of Emotional Law. They enter room B4242 and flanked by lawyers, attempt to untangle a knot; their knot. In this dystopian world communication is out of control and separation has become impossible. With the help of Emotional Law, they attempt to cut all ties, but even the might of the law begins to buckle in their presence. Push Me Productions presents a play by Clare Gillman; A very short interval which delves into the dark effects our overly connected world has had on love and relationships. In a world where we can reach each other in seconds this play asks, has this really brought us closer or has this one tick two tick culture denied us our freedom to walk away?
