In 1964 Oxford, an eccentric artist seeks the help of a psychotherapist to unlock a 50 year old secret.

Overview

In 1914 Budapest four young idealists vow to restore independence to Hungary. And in Belgrade ‘The Black Hand’ plots to overthrow the Hapsburg Empire. Three stories, three causes, one outcome…the war to end all wars.

Acclaimed theatre company ACS Random comes to Jermyn Street Theatre with a thrilling tale of bravery and betrayal from debut writer Jeremy James. The Cause is a story of love, loss and the blind pursuit of a cause without regard for the consequences. It’s a tale which resonates through the ages.

ACS Random’s recent work includes sell out and widely praised productions of Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet and The Knight from Nowhere/The Bells at Park Theatre, nominated for two Off West Awards in late 2015. They are dedicated to new writing and exciting reinventions of classics for a modern audience.
