About The Life of Olu

Now imagine having to decide between a packet of Monster Munch or a carton of Sun Exotic before bossman kicks you out of his shop for taking too long. Olu’s got a lot on his plate; no TV on weeknights, no idea how to talk to his crush Karina and no facial hair in sight...yet. Welcome to Olu’s world; a world beyond the walls of the Roundwood Estate filled with dreams of getting into Oxford University and Kelly Rowland East15 graduate Temi Majekodunmi paints a hilarious and heartwarming scratch night performance about adolescence, inspired by his childhood. Temi has recently been a part of the Kiln Young Writers Programme writing a short play ‘Chicken Legs’ that was performed online for the Kiln Theatre. He was also a part of Blink Theatre’s Response 5: ESCAPE a collection of monologues written by emerging writers performed by an all-female cast. Age Recommendation: 16+ Content Warning: This performance contains strong language, racist language, themes of violence, sexual violence and sexual nature.
