As we head towards Halloween there is plenty of scary action in the London Horror Festival which takes place at The Pleasance and the Space this year. The aim is to scare you stupid and that’s what they will be doing down in Southwark too where the immersive horror experience Echoes brings together vengeful spirits, family secrets and a mystery which haunts four generations. You have to work together with other audience members to solve the mystery and save your souls from something hellish in the basement. Presumably you will either laugh yourself silly or be scared witless.
The award-nominated COLAB Theatre returns for a third year running with a brand new Immersive Horror Experience. “The history of chocolate is bathed in blood.” Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it. Those who turn their backs ensure the wrongs committed cut a deep swathe in history, and those brave enough to dig deep can change the course of the future forever. The truth must come out. A chocolate factory shrouded in secrets, a family compelled by greed, and a vengeful spirit lurking below. Put your mind to the test as you race to unravel four mysteries spanning generations. Challenge your bravery as you plunge into the depths of an abandoned basement, scrabbling in search of the vital clues in order to save a life. But steady your nerve, for should you make a sound, Hell’s wrath shall befall you. Forty years to unwind. Four victims to free. One raging spirit... Your life is in your hands. WARNING: This venue has no disabled access and contains strobe lighting. Please be warned that this experience touches on some triggering subjects such as murder, implied gender violence and horror that some may find distressing
