Having just enjoyed a sellout run at The National Theatre earlier this year, WWOS are delighted to bring this masterpiece to the Churchill Theatre Bromley. In Follies, the time is 1971. At a reunion hosted in a crumbling theatre, a parade of ex-showgirls take to the stage one last time, accompanied by the ghosts of their former selves. This sets the stage for a parade of brilliant ‘20s, ‘30s and ‘40s pastiche numbers featuring some of Stephen Sondheim’s best-known songs including Broadway Baby, I’m Still Here, Too Many Mornings, Could I Leave You?, and Losing My Mind, to name a few. Surreal, sophisticated, compelling, heart-wrenching and epic in scope, Follies is a powerful and dramatic musical that you simply can’t miss.
