Emma Henry & Ursula Raasted collaborate to bring you The Seawolves — a theatre-dive-music experience that holds the mirror up to life, showing it a smile of teeth and fish. With sound, speech and sharks, The Seawolves chomps at questions of identity & belonging, diving deep to explore the wonders of the world’s most misunderstood family.

Overview

A group of sharks is called a “shiver”. The very word sends one running down your spine. Yes. Unlike sharks, as mammals we have spines. But do we? Beyond the vertebral, “having a spine” also refers to the having of “courage”, being willing to face it. This piece grew out of being afraid, in search of the light… in the darkest of places.

Imagining the interiority of these immense creatures, and confronting the toothy inside us, this multimedia performance will take you underwater to laugh and cry. Playful, intense, bioluminescent and post-epic, this expedition is dedicated to David Attenborough and all the strange creatures out there.
