About The Adventures of The Bearded Lady
I weep all night when I drink, I eat Spam but my underwear’s pink, I work on the land with my manicured hands, And nobody cares what I think! The Bearded Lady was born with a full head of hair on her chin and a bright future ahead of her, but alas! When puberty struck, it all fell out. In shame, she runs away to the circus, but how can they take her on with her naked, hairless chin? So begins a life of deception, deviance, mischieviance, fleeing, flaying, falling and howling at the moon. We follow our heroine as she journeys over land and sea on a quest to explore her own possibility. Having run away so many times that she arrives back at the beginning, she discovers new resolve to defy the inanity of a world that asks people to hide or change who they are.
