Angela Yeoh was a proper serious journalist. Then she decided to become a clown. Trained by public broadcaster ABC then by clown master Philippe Gaulier, she’s mashing up fresh, fun and surprising social twists…

Overview

Runny For Money takes you on a fun and surprising journey, getting up close and personal with ideas that frame our relationship with money and what we really value in life. Your host is a charming Chinese character called Manyi: a self-made nouveau riche woman excited to share her ideas about money and markets, in a frenetic mix of business pitch, financial self-help, and TV guest show.

What is a good life? Is that for sale? How much money do you need? And what would you sell to get it? What does the market say? And who turned the volume up so loud?

In her work as a journalist, Angela saw many social problems rooted in a distorted relationship with money, fuelling short-term choices, environmental degradation, deteriorating mental health, and damaging social inequality. This humorous interactive journey seeks to open a real discussion about viable alternatives.
