Exploring the person underneath the myth, Ophelia Rewound is an interactive, autobiographical performance which weaves intricate projection mapping, the story of Ophelia and Antigoni's lived experience through depression to examine the stereotypes that sit around women and mental health. Through a series of intimate and thought-provoking interactions the audience are given the opportunity to become part of the narrative and share a moment of collective transformation.
The levels of personal involvement slightly preclude a broader provocation but Spanou presents the typical stereotypes and plateaus of living with fragile mental health in heartbreaking form
