The number of different white blood cells vary depending on bacterial or viral infection…. I look through the microscope and see what I’ve got. But I’ve never seen anything like this…

Overview

A makeshift lab. A hospital in lockdown. Nosocomial – or ‘hospital acquired’ – is a collaboration between award-winning playwright Nicola Baldwin, Lead Healthcare Scientist Dr. Elaine Cloutman-Green, scientists from Great Ormond Street Hospital, and actors.

A mystery outbreak. Intermittent communications from outside. Science fiction based on real hospital scenarios. Experiments in narrative and microbiology.

Nosocomial tests our presentation and management of infection. Over 3 nights, the show will evolve. We are a work in progress.
