Immigration Crisis: The Musical is a performance that explores the lives of five women who have just moved into a new house together. Immigrants, third-generation immigrants and British tenants joined by their move to Sheffield. As food unites these women, their bond and cultures begin to meet at the dinner table. Exploring different heritages, political beliefs and everyday life together. These women make light of all the hardships they face and the way they’re portrayed by far-right media outlets. A female-led cast from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. Immigration Crisis: The Musical explores strands of the immigrant experience from the perspectives of an immigrant experiencing it first-hand, a first-generation immigrant and a third-generation immigrant. We showcase the joys of having such rich, varied backgrounds but also highlight the struggles that can accompany it.
