Overview

Forbruker: Consumer

“The philosophy behind much advertising is based on the old observation that every man is really two men – the man he is and the man he wants to be.” – William Feather

“Gillette – The Best A Man Can Get” – Gillette

Following sold out performance at Sprint 2019 and eight day run at The Edinburgh Fringe 2019, Forbruker is back! In an electric, absurdist fusion of clown, lip sync, drag, and advertisement, this one-woman advert break presents a vital, ridiculous interrogation and parody of the battle for identity in the capitalist world past and present.

From falling in love with marmite, to regurgitating a Mini-Ford Focus, join Frankie Thompson (Soho Theatre Young Company, Royal Court Youth Theatre, Young Pleasance) with Elizabeth Parker (Live Art Club) as ‘The Voice of Consumerism’ in this surreal, high-paced alternative clown show. Directed by Anna Marie Synstad Simonsen.
