A contemporary couple scrambles to re-enact Hitchcock’s 1958 masterpiece, Vertigo, live.
The consuming romance, the sweeping music, the impending sense of doom, the platinum blonde hair. The deeper they get, the more exhausting this strange ritual becomes. Gender roles, modern relationships and sexual obsession are all tossed up in Ferguson and Barton.
This new piece of dance-theatre is both homage to the master of suspense and wrecking ball to the Hollywood patriarchy. A dark fable for modern times.
This is a collaboration with Shotput, Glasgow’s new physical theatre company.
