For Sprint, Earwax is bringing an amazing lineup of young artists, each with individual practices and individual voices who will make noise, experiment, celebrate and be heard.
Earwax intends to create a new discourse and way of working, that does not need to reference patriarchal frameworks in order for the work to be understood or validated. This is essential to the authentic development of women/femme sound practices.
Earwax is for women and femme identifying individuals who work with sound and performance based practices. It is a community made up of writers, musicians, sound artists, DJs and those whose practice is not yet defined. Our aim is to ensure these artists have access to a space where they can be vulnerable, in order to nurture and perform their work. Born from a small core collective of women, Earwax has become a space where people come to explore, experiment, celebrate difference, and make noise.
