Two women born the same year. Two women wielding immense power in a world dominated by men
Overview
Two women meeting every Tuesday afternoon to talk about…
Biscuits; Apartheid; crockery; the miners’ strike; pets…particularly dogs and horses; The Falklands; wets (politicians…usually male); President Regan (and Nancy); jam; Zimbabwe.
In Moira Buffini’s imagined account of the weekly meetings between The Queen and The Prime Minister she concocts a deliciously bitter-sweet confection of what might have transpired on those tricky Tuesday afternoons, complete with a dazzling cast of national and international politicians and personalities.
