Overview
UCL Drama Society and UCL Stage Crew present the first show in the newly refurbished Bloomsbury Theatre: a modern adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's 'Saint Joan.'
‘Saint Joan’ follows the rise and fall of Joan of Arc, the famous religious martyr who died at the hands of an oppressive government and society. This modern interpretation is by turns hilarious and heartbreaking, and explores themes of misogyny, colonialism and faith. Joan’s unshakeable devotion to her people and her God transcends time, place and religion. This is a Joan for every age.
Reopening the West End-accredited Bloomsbury Theatre, and featuring an original soundscape and incredible cast, 'Saint Joan' is not to be missed.
