“Four nights only for the latest from Open Clasp who work with women within the criminal justice system and who made the remarkable Key Change. Now they are back with a piece performed by a real-life mother and daughter, Cheryl and Abigail Byron, which looks at what happens after the prison gates open and women have to pick up with the family relationships which have been broken by incarceration.”

Overview

The true story of a mother and a daughter. Prison took one away. On release, they had to find each other and themselves again.

From the makers of Key Change, winner of the prestigious Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award and a New York Times Critics’ Pick.

Open Clasp have built a long relationship with this family; the mother was an original collaborator on award-winning Key Change. Now touring nationally, this was originally developed through a seed commission with Queens Hall Arts and Black Theatre Live.
