About FORGE
This interrogative performance with live on-stage metalwork considers people’s behaviour at sites of traumatic events and how best to remember these histories. Taking the stealing of the Dachau concentration camp gates as her starting point and reflecting on her own identity as a queer Jewish woman. The Open Lab Showcase presents work-in-progress performances by emerging and mid-career artists following a period of research and development at the Barbican as part of the Open Lab Programme.
