Online legacy is the subject of the always interesting Dante or Die’s User Not Found, a really terrific show written by Chris Goode, that I first saw at the Edinburgh fringe in 2018. Now re-imagined as an online experience I’ve every confidence that this will be a cracker - melding form and content in an innovative way. Particularly as this is a show about death and grief and how we remember those we love and how we can find a way to go on living when tragedy strikes. I’ll be fascinated to see how this works as an online experience as it charts the story of Terry who has not long broken up with his ex-partner, Luka, and is still processing the hurt when Luka’s sudden death leaves Terry as Luka’s online executor.
"Terry and Luka were together for nine years until Luka left Terry. Then Luka died leaving Terry as his online legacy executor." What happens to your digital life after you die? If there was a magic button, would you delete your online existence? User Not Found is a new immersive video podcast from acclaimed theatre makers Dante or Die, about what happens to our online identities after we die. Inspired by the company’s hit live show, this new digital theatrical event will be available to experience for free, in partnership with the Guardian Newspaper on Dante or Die’s YouTube channel and The Guardian website.
