Written in October 2019 and incorporating predictions of our future from the Wellcome Centre for Ethics and Humanities, our run of The Time Machine at The London Library was cut short as these prophesies unfolded before our very eyes. Radically re-imagined for our new digital stage, The Time Machine LIVE is an intimate experience with a very limited audience capacity. You'll be taken on a psychedelic journey through somersaulting timelines where thousands of parallel universes will challenge everything you thought you knew. Minutes settle into hours, days follow one another in sequence, and clocks turn clockwise. We have always placed our trust in these unwavering laws of time. Until now. From 27 May until 21 June, trek through time to discover what it really means to be confronted with an uncertain and ever-shifting future. Adapted by Jonathan Holloway (a recurring treat for fans of Don Quixote, Brave New Worldand 1984) and directed by Natasha Rickman, this is HG Wells' sci-fi classic as you've never seen it before.
