House To House: Random Selfies

House To House: Random Selfies

Part of Streamdoor: theatre you can watch from home

“Mike Kenny’s Random Selfies looks through a child’s eyes at how it feels to be lonely”

Overview

If I lived in the middle of nowhere, you could understand it.
If I was halfway up a mountain.
Or at the side of a lake.
And I had no brothers or sisters.
Well, you could understand it.
Couldn’t you.
If I said I was lonely.
But I’m not any of that.
I live in a flat.
In one of the biggest cities on the planet.
I’m never alone.
But I am lonely.

All plays were filmed by LIVR while onstage at Ovalhouse and are now available online. You can explore the theatre in 360° view as if you were sat in the auditorium. If you like that, LIVR offers an immersive VR experience that transports you into the audience from the comfort of your home.

Join live conversations with the artists, theatre-makers, and actors from the play via #HousetoHouse360.

Critic reviews

Kenny's story holds lots of treats. What could be a trite ‘be yourself’ message is handled with wit and subtlety
