“Another Gecko piece. When it opened at Battersea Arts Centre in 2005 the Observer critic described it as “like entering a childhood dream where the inanimate takes on life, where humans freeze like mannequins and where tiny things suddenly become enormous.””
A chance encounter with a mysterious woman throws Taylor’s world into turmoil.
Eloquently crafted to music, Taylor’s Dummies plumbs the depths of male desire, through a series of visual scenes that are both stunning and deeply emotional. Sharp suited performers walk up walls and fly through the air, life-sized dummies come to life, and a baby doll sings ‘Fly Me to the Moon’.
A Gecko production developed at The Lion & Unicorn Theatre as part of ROAR 03 and co-produced by Battersea Arts Centre. Arts Council England and Lottery funded.
