“You don't have long left to catch this utterly magical piece, available through the Sadler’s Wells website that brings together a cast of 33 dancers from 14 different countries on a beach in Senegal to dance Pina Bausch’s seminal 1975 work. The production had been due to tour across Africa but when the closing of borders and the shut-down of communal spaces put that in jeopardy the show was captured on film in an outdoor setting. It’s visually ravishing and full of heart and soul.”

Filmed as the world descended into lockdown it captures the last rehearsal of a specially assembled company of 38 dancers from 14 African countries, and documents a unique moment in their preparations for an international tour. A rare opportunity to watch one of the world’s greatest dance works.
